What Makes Our Luxury Gazebos some of The Best?

When companies talk about the quality of the work they’re most often talking about the craftsmanship and their materials. How do Chiltern Garden Buildings ensure craftsmanship and quality in our materials? We will address those questions and explain the quality work we do that makes our products top of the line!

Whether you choose from our standard range or opt for a bespoke design, all Chiltern Garden Buildings are manufactured to the same exacting standards.

Wood Selection

Fundamental to any wooden garden building is the raw material, namely of course - wood! Wood has traditionally been used in the construction of buildings for thousands of years encompassing many properties and so, is a trusted material to work with.

When it comes to selecting the materials for our gazebo range, the correct choice of wood is paramount; ideally, the timber should be slow grown, highly durable and sourced from sustainable forests, which is why our chosen timber is from the superbly managed forests of Northern Scandinavia.

Timber is of course an exceptionally versatile material to work with, and can be shaped and formed to fit almost any design brief. It is also a beautiful material, and properly treated, maintained and cared for, a timber garden building will last for decades.

Below is a rundown of our own material choices used in the construction of our garden buildings time and time again.

Canadian Western Red Cedar

This wood is offered as an option to the Scandinavian redwood in the construction of our garden buildings.

This beautiful highly durable timber with its natural preservative elements is low maintenance and will last for decades.

Western Red Cedar is sourced from the environmentally managed forests of Canada.

Scandinavian Redwood

Each Chiltern Garden Building is handcrafted using carefully selected seasoned redwood from the superbly managed, sustainable forests of northern Scandinavia.

This durable timber is perfect for our garden buildings and, when treated, will give many years of useful life.
